When to Book Your Newborn Session Charlotte NC Newborn Photographer

As a first time mom there are a lot things you are trying to figure out. I know many pregnant women in Charlotte are wondering - when should I book my newborn session? We all know that babies have their own timing, and we can’t always predict what will happen.

My own first born arrived at 36 weeks and 6 days - total spontaneous midnight surprise! It is already so stressful once baby arrives, and I hear from women who didn’t realize newborn sessions were booked before baby arrived, that they just don’t have time to find a newborn photographer after baby arrives. You are going to be busy keeping a tiny human alive - you just won’t have the time to focus on this important decision.

Book early so you can guarantee I have availability and can devote to you the time you family deserves. Booking early also guarantees that you can bring baby in while they are still in the early newborn stage. However, I have experience posing older newborns due to hospital stays, the recent pandemic, and other circumstances out of your control. Ideally, a newborn session happens within the first two weeks after your successful delivery, if there are no other complications.

I’m also excited to offer a unique opportunity with a local Charlotte doula that is available for all mothers delivering in Charlotte NC and surrounding areas in South Carolina.
