When will my baby sit unassisted?

Every child is unique and they will all reach milestones at different times. Some sit unassisted by six months and others aren’t quite there until eight months - and that is totally normal!

As an early childhood special education teacher, I truly saw firsthand how each child reaches every milestone at different times and in different ways. Some, like my older son, skip crawling and go straight to running. While others, like my younger son, take almost 19 months to walk. It takes time and patience. But what in parenting doesn’t?

Let’s celebrate the sitting milestone, whenever it may be, with an extra special photo session.

A little sitter session is the perfect way to showcase your child’s new skills. We’ll incorporate colors and textiles we used in their newborn session to create a cohesive look in your artwork. You even have the option of adding a shallow milk bath - always a fun way to show off their balance!
